Man Convicted of Sexual Assault
Benjamin Mercer was found found guilty of attempted rape and gross sexual imposition of a minor following a jury trial in Muskingum County Court of Common Pleas. The jury deliberated for just under two hours. The defendant will remain in Muskingum County jail until sentencing. Prosecutors Warren Edwards and Amy Otto handled the case and were pleased with the verdicts.
