Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office Supports Transitions Domestic Violence Shelter Golf Outing
ZANESVILLE, OH – August 14, 2025 – The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office, led by Prosecutor Ron Welch, proudly served as a sponsor for this year’s Transitions Domestic Violence Shelter Golf Outing, held at Green Valley Golf Club. The event drew strong community participation and raised funds to support survivors of domestic violence and their families.
Several members of the Prosecutor’s Office took part in the outing, including Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Kallen Haddox, who played a key role in helping organize this year’s event.
"I am pleased so many members of the office find ways to give back to the community," said Prosecutor Ron Welch. "This year’s event had great support, amazing weather, and was extra special as a team sponsored by my office took home first place—and made sure the prize money was donated right back to Transitions."
Transitions Domestic Violence Shelter provides safe housing, advocacy, and essential support services to survivors of domestic violence in Muskingum County and surrounding areas. The annual golf outing helps ensure the shelter can continue offering these life-changing resources.
Prosecutor Welch added that community partnerships like this are vital: "Events like the Transitions golf outing not only raise important funds, but they also bring people together in a shared commitment to protecting and supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our community."
