Gerald graduated from the Brigham Young University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Prior to graduating, Gerald lived in Mexico City for two years, serving a mission for his church. Gerald attended Pepperdine School of Law in Malibu, California, and received his Juris Doctorate in 2014.

Prior to moving to Ohio, Gerald interned at Mental Health Advocacy in Los Angeles, California, and also in the Special Victim’s Unit at the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office in Compton, California. He began working as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Muskingum County January 2015. Since that time he has served in the Appellate Division, County Misdemeanors, and currently serves as one of the Felony Criminal prosecutors, with a focus in sexual assault crimes.

Gerald is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Muskingum County Bar Association, Ohio Prosecuting Attorneys Association, and the National District Attorneys Association.
