Molly Martin attended Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts and graduated in 1990 with a Major in Politics and a Minor in Religion. After graduation, Molly moved back to her home state of Ohio where she attended Law School at The Ohio State University. She graduated and passed the bar in 1993. Molly worked in private practice for ten years at the law firm of Jones, Funk, and Payne in Zanesville before joining the Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office in 2005. Molly started in the Juvenile Division advocating on behalf of abuse, neglected and dependent children. She transitioned to the Criminal Division in 2014 and prosecutes felony cases of all types.
Molly has received numerous awards for her ongoing advocacy for adult and child victims of violence and abuse, including the 2000 Director’s Award from the RESPONSE Domestic Violence Victim Assistance Program, and the 2020 ''Hero for Kids'' Award from Muskingum County Adult and Child Protective Services.
Molly is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Muskingum County Bar Association (past President), Ohio Prosecuting Attorneys Association, and the National District Attorneys Association. She is licensed to practice in the State of Ohio, and in the Federal Courts for the Southern District of Ohio.
