Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office Proudly Sponsors 2025 Picklefest Courts
This year, Muskingum County Prosecutor Ron Welch continued his office’s community engagement by sponsoring the lively pickleball courts at the FoodWorks Annual Picklefest.
As part of this initiative, a $10,000 check was presented in support of FoodWorks’s Recovery with a Purpose program.
Along with sponsoring the Picklefest Courts, the $10,000 will sponsor Recovery with a Purpose’s two new trainees.
On July 26, 2025, at Riverside Park, FoodWorks Alliance hosted its third rendition of Picklefest. This local nonprofit acts as a kitchen incubator, empowering local food entrepreneurs. Within their kitchen, they also run a vital recovery program for women called Recovery with a Purpose.
The family friendly festivities included an exciting pickleball tournament, a variety of food trucks, and face painting. Attendees explored vendor booths filled with educational materials and resources.
The prosecutor’s office is enthusiastic about partnering with Recovery with a Purpose, looking forward to making a positive impact in the community and sponsoring future initiatives. Prosecutor Welch said “Working with programs in the community that have a track record of success is just another way of making our community a safer and better place to live. I wish everyone could overcome their issues and become productive members of our society.”
Special thanks to Amy Aurore and FoodWorks Alliance for allowing us to utilize their photos from the event.
